My art is reactionary. As in, it’s usually created as a reaction to something happening in the news and then it sits and ferments and circles inside my skull until it vomits itself onto a page. It rarely comes from the aether anymore. I’m an ‘art imitates life’ kind of creator.
The old way doesn’t work anymore. Maybe it was never meant to work, only tolerated. This thing you feel… a zeitgeist, ethos, it’s heavy in air.
